On a Whim

I love daylight savings time. I’ve been counting down to it for months. Primarily because as of Sunday night it started to feel like summer time.

And also because it means that tonight I got to meet up with Meagan Fowler for dinner after work and we still made it to Santa Monica in time to catch the sunset.

Nights like tonight are rare. The kind where you just get this whim like you need to get away and you actually do.

It was nice to feel free. And to laugh. And to talk with my old friend just like we used to. And to have a big smile plastered on my face. And to walk on the beach and feel the water and smell the ocean breeze. And to drive with the sunroof open and the music blaring. It was a good night.
